Located in the historic Central Library, the Visitor Information Centre should be your first port-of-call when visiting the Northern capital.
A free service for all to use, our friendly and knowledgeable staff are here to help you maximise your visit. Visit us for:

- Leaflets and literature – Complimentary and up-to-date brochures and listings for the city’s latest events, attractions and tours (including the river cruise, sightseeing bus tour, and walking tours).
- Tourism tips - One-to-one personal advice on any leisure and tourism related enquires.
- Travel tips – Guidance on navigating the city’s Metrolink, Bus, and Train network.
- Hotel help – Insider tips on the best accommodation to suit any budget and preference.

City Hosts
Look out for the City Hosts team on the main shopping streets in Manchester city centre offering advice and tips.
The City Hosts are on the streets seven days a week, 363 days a year, based in the central retail district, Manchester Piccadilly Station, Victoria Station, and more key routes into the city centre.
They are on hand to guide shoppers, visitors and workers, help with directions, public transport information and details on events taking place in the city centre.
The friendly face of the city, the hosts act as a point of contact for both visitors and retailers. The team's hours are 10am - 7pm.
